I'm Yvette, a licensed massage therapist trained at Douglas J Aveda Institute in East Lansing. I've been practicing for four years and opened my own studio a year ago. I'm CPR, BLS, and CNA certified, giving me a clinical understanding of the human body that directly supports the therapeutic techniques I use as a massage therapist, and spent two years working alongside a chiropractor before starting my own practice. My focus is deep tissue and Swedish massage for targeted pain relief, chronic tension, and sports recovery. I offer assisted stretching and help clients dealing with everyday aches, past injuries, or accident recovery, including MMA fighters and bodybuilders needing post-fight and post-training recovery. I also work with women prioritizing their own wellness and moms looking for safe, supportive prenatal and postnatal care. I got into this work on a bit of an impulse, decisions like that are pretty true to who I am. But I love that, unlike a trip to the dentist, people actually look forward to seeing their massage therapist, and it makes me excited to come to work every day! First-time clients consistently tell me how comfortable they felt right away (you can see that echoed in my reviews), and my goal for every session is simple: you should leave feeling safe, cared for, and completely at ease. Any of these services can be added to any session upon request: Red light cupping therapy (cups integrated with red light technology), scalp and temple massage, face massage, aromatherapy, and light fingernail scratch relaxation (available on the scalp, back, and arms; advance notice required). Sensory-friendly sessions are also available upon request.
